Ricky DiCillo “Hope for the Earth” Scholarship

The Ricky DiCillo “Hope for the Earth” Scholarship is meant to provide for a student’s education while they either pursue a degree related to environmental studies or make a meaningfully positive environmental impact on their community. Ricky was an alumni and staff member, at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester for decades, and his deep love for the environment will be honored by a student taking the torch to provide hope for the Earth.

This scholarship is designed to aid students who will attempt to turn that hope into a reality.

Criteria

• You must be a senior attending a Manchester, NH high school.
• You must be a member in good standing of the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester.
• You must be planning to attend a college or university upon graduation from high school.
• You must be a student in good standing (minimum of 2.5 GPA, attendance, etc.)
• You must demonstrate the qualities of an environmentally focused individual with a passion to help the Earth through either:
  • Pursuing an environmental-related major in college or university, or
  • Proving exceptionally positive environmental impact(s) on your community.
• Evidence of college acceptance will be required prior to disbursement of funds.

Application Process

• Completed, typed essay
• High School transcript
• Letter of Recommendation from one of the following:
  • School official
  • Community organization leader (not a family member)
