Edmund A. Bednarowski, Jr. Leadership Scholarship

The objective of the Edmund A. Bednarowski, Jr. Leadership Scholarship is to promote and foster education and community service. Ed Bednarowski was a valuable leader in the Manchester community who worked tirelessly in business and civic organizations, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester where he served as President of the Board of Directors.

This scholarship is designed to recognize students in the community who share Ed’s commitment to service and leadership.

Criteria

• You must be a graduating senior attending a Manchester, NH high school
• You must be a member in good standing of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester
• You must be planning to attend a college or university upon graduation from high school
• You must be a student in good standing (minimum of 2.5 GPA, attendance, etc.)
• You must exemplify the qualities of a good citizen and exemplary leader and display
• involvement in civic and school-related activities
• Evidence of college acceptance will be required prior to disbursement of funds

Application Process

• Two completed, typed essays
• Typed resume to include school activities, community service and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester years of membership and involvement
• High School transcript
• Letters of Recommendation from:
  • School official
  • Community organization leader (not a family member)
